audience feedback

Only 8% of the group who watched our trailer during the preview did not like the music we used. showing that the majority of the audience believe that the music was effective. Personally I believe this is because we aimed the music at out target audience specifically.

Again, only 8% were unsure if the picture we used was effective in terms of our promotional magazine, I believe that this is due to horror-less element to the photograph. However, from my research into horror based magazine covers, I found that the pictures used are not particularly "horrific", they are used to attract audiences by the actor featured in the particular film.
Everyone  we asked during our feedback session agreed that the colours which we used for all three products were complimentary to each other. This shows continuity on our part.
Through audience feedback, we found out that our target audience believe that all three products link well together. This is a good sign as our intended audience would then make links in their mind when seeing each individual promotional device creating a buzz about our film.
Only 12% of our target audience were unsure whether the trailer made them want to watch the film or not, the rest showing interest in wanting to watch the film. This is positive feedback as no one was completely un-interested in the film.
We got very mixed feedback when it came to this question. I personally believe that the people taking part in the survey did not read the question properly, which would be down to human error. However, this is something to look at, as we found it hard not to give away too much but still creating interest in the film.

We got extremely good feedback in terms of the promotional poster., including "excellent". Another comment made along with this question was " I love the tagline"
Everyone who was asked during our presentation session said the our poster appears to look professionally made. This is very good feedback as this means that the poster is eye-catching and clear.

We asked this question because we wanted to know if our theme was clearly portrayed in our poster. The feedback was positive. We believe that this is due to the use of the matrix inspired background.
89% of our audience believed that our magazine cover was as effective as that of a real media product. This shows us that our final product is fulfilling its purpose in promoting the film.

Some other comments giving from our audience is as follows:

  • "I would give away more in the trailer- to draw the people in."
  • " did not like the music"
  • "everything was well presented and displayed"
  • "emphasise darkness e.g. its something scary so use darker colours to emphasise evil/infection."
  • "well made trailer"
